School goal: Pass all of my classes with at least a B.
- Specific: Achieve a grade of B or higher in each of my classes this semester.
- Measurable: Measure percentage grade at end of semester.
- Accountable: I am the only one who has control over what grade I will receive.
- Relevant: I want to have a B or higher in all of my classes to show that I understand the material in each class
- Timeline: The goal will be measured at the end of the semester.
Personal goal: Get 8 or more hours of sleep each night.
- Specific: Get to bed before midnight every day so that I can get up early enough to get to classes and sleep 8 hours or more.
- Measurable: Measure the number of hours I sleep each night.
- Accountable: Anything that keeps me up could have been dealt with before late at night.
- Relevant: Getting a good amount of sleep is important in all parts of my life.
- Timeline: Each day for the entire semester I must sleep enough to stay healthy.
I wanted to take some time to go over my goals now that the semester is coming to an end.
ReplyDeleteAs of taking my last final today, I am almost (95%+ confidence level) that I have gotten a B or higher in all of my classes for the semester. This is a great accomplishment for me, as I have never lived or worked in the environment which I am in now, and this might have caused trouble for me, but I overcame every obstacle and have made it!
Sadly I am not sure I passed my sleep goal. Some nights I get a lot of rest, and have been known to be berated by friends because I skipped dinner to go to bed early, but other nights that is not so. When papers or projects are due, I find that I stay up nearly all night to do them because I have been known to leave some papers off until a few days before they are due. My new goal is not about sleep, because that comes naturally with free time, but rather:
I will start, and complete at least 50% of all large assignments, at least 5 days before they are due.
